Estate settlement appraisals are based on the Fair Market Value (if tax-related) or Marketable Cash Value (depending on the client’s request) of the items at the secondary market level as of the decedent’s date of death, or at the alternate valuation date.
When the appraisal involves an estate or trust, we discuss closely the scope of the assignment and the level of detail contained in the report to tailor it to practically meet the needs of the personal representative, attorney, fiduciary, or trust officer. Â Hourly rate fees will be computed based on actual time devoted to examining, analyzing, researching, and writing reports.
A jewelry appraisal is an unbiased, evidence-based valuation for a specific purpose, as of a specific date, that is based on researched market data analyzed and formulated into a report prepared by a trained, experienced professional valuation specialist.
